Dream House Celebration in Black Mountain Slated for Oct. 17

NAR Chief Economist: All Things In Place to Create Mortgage Availability
Existing-home sales were down in August as tight mortgage credit curtailed activity, according to NAR. However, NAR chief economist Lawrence Yun urged consumers to keep in mind that the recent drop in interest rates is an immediate impact of recent government action.  With higher loan limits and a beefing up of the FHA program, Yun expects that the mechanisms are now falling into place to give the market just what it needs to recuperate.
